Who or What Drives Customer Choice?
2007 June 20
In this morning’s paper there was an editorial about Kellogg’s Co.’s voluntarily moving toward significantly reducing the amount of sugar in their cereals. They wanted to avoid what the tobacco companies have been through in the last few years – and wisely so. but that got me to thinking about what was driving this decision. The article states that consumer and medical groups were complaining. But by the looks of the reality TV shows and documentaries about obesity – it certainly wasn’t the "market" or consumer buyer behavior – was it?
