Stumbling Upon

80876129web I’m not much of a web surfer.  Who has time for mindless hopping through links and sites?  Usually, I don’t.  But every now and then, I spend a late night tripping the web fantastic.

Since I’m new to this blog thing.  I asked my blogging maven Deborah how she gets inspired to write new things on her blog.  And she told me about Stumble Upon.

This is google’s "I’m feeling lucky" on learning steroids.  Here’s how it works.  You go to stumble upon. I recommend you download the toolbar button.  When you do, you’ll get a stumble upon button and a thumbs up and thumbs down button, along with a few others.  Click on the stumble button on your toolbar, wait to see what comes up and then rate it thumbs up or down.  The site will learn from your choices and keep asking you to define what you like in more detail.  I have to admit, I’ve gotten more than enough ideas on things I really wouldn’t go searching for.  It’s a great brainstorming tool.
