You Oughtta Be in Pictures

You know you’re getting old, when a guy comes up to you and offers you the opportunity to become a "studio mogul" instead of a model.

I got this e-mail while in the middle of a survey project for a client.  The guy you see here is Adrian Schleis, he’s one of the respondents, who decided that it would take less time to send me this video e-mail over taking my 4-minute survey.

I have to say, I was intrigued, so I asked him to send me a Hello World (VM Direct) Promo Sample that I could post here.

Now – there are several interesting things about this entire concept.  The first is that it’s a cool tool.

Cool Tools – Priced Right and Put the World of Media at Your Fingertips

Webcams are old news.  Movie editing from your pc – also old news.  But video e-mail, movie editing, pay-per view of your own training video’s and presentations, "live, interactive webinars" and live video of your kids sporting event — all for just $9.95! Well, that’s what I call new production architecture.

The possibilities are really only limited by your imagination.  Here are a few:

  • Networking – First of all, it’s cheaper and more realistic than having some sexy picture taken – that only looks like you in your dreams.  But seriously, it’s terrific for building relationships with people you are just too far away from and you’ve never met.  Which is a reality for many small businesses today.  It will make meeting at Bob Evans with a description of – I’m the one with the big red purse – obsolete!
  • Building Relationships with Customers – I want to expand on this customer relationship concept.  It’s hard to treat people poorly when you can see their face.  That’s just a fact of life.  So giving your employees the ability to know and see the people who make your paycheck possible – is real customer service building.
  • Saving time and money on travel and meetings – and calories from bad pizza.  Video conferencing has been around a long time – but it’s been too expensive and out of reach.  So staff and sales meetings and training sessions are much easier.
  • Creating grassroots customer communities – I have clients who have customer bases that want desperately to know each other and work together.  What a great customer gift/promo this would be – the gift of relationship with other fans of your products and services.

So you see the possibilities are endless.

How YOU can become a mogul – and how Hello World distributes its product.

Multi-Level Marketing ain’t what it used to be.  It’s a business model, and VM Direct (the company that does Hello World) has chosen it as a way to get their product into the hands of the most customers in the least amount of time with the least amount of expense.

I’ve seen and heard the presentation – it has lots of interesting aspects, but I’d love to hear what you think.

Since you originally wrote this- many people have really shown their creativity in utilizing the product. But isn’t that the way the marketplace is? When something is first developed and used, I think even the most visionary of sorts, still has no idea where new concepts will take them. Thank you for being a visionary and spotlighting this “cool tool” !
