To Blog or Not to Blog
I found a new blog this weekend called Viral Garden. I love Mack’s style overall and I love the topic of his last post.
Bloggers are a marketing force to be reconned with. You can like them or hate them. You can debate blogging like they are debating global warming. But regardless of who wins, bloggers and connected customer communities are now a real part of our business and marketing landscape.
Whether blogging makes money or serves some purpose or not. I believe the topic of blogging and social media today is where the internet and web site conversation was just over a decade ago. Back then we were asking the same questions "Should I have a web site?" Now we know the answer. Now the question is "Should I have a blog?" And after you read Mack’s article in Viral Garden. You, too will know the answer

Ivana:
I really enjoyed this post, particularly the link you gave over at Viral Garden. I was not aware of the Spirit Airline fiasco but my goodness, the CEO’s email surely came back to bite him!
Wow. Very powerful stuff. Bloggers rule!
Ivana thanks for the kind mention! I think the reaction to that post is a great example of how ideas spread in the blogosphere. I found out about that story after another blogger posted about it. But it happened two months ago, I just never knew about it. But then I blogged about it, and suddenly an entirely new community of readers knew about Spirit’s blunders. And now you are talking about it, and your readers are now discovering the story.
And so it spreads. A CEO’s flippant quip ‘let him tell the world’ seems to be coming true!
