Use Twitter to Give Customers What They Want

Talk about on-demand market research!

Here is a message I got in my e-mail after a post on twitter:

"Hi Ivana,

I work at Six Apart and spend the majority of my time looking at how our products interact with other services and social networks.  I saw your Tweet today wishing for Twitter integration with TypePad and

wanted to know more about the type of integration you’re looking for.

Are you wanting to put your Tweets on the sidebar of your TypePad

blog?  Have your Tweets syndicated each night into a blog post?

Automatically Tweet when you make a new post?  Something else?

Cheers,

David Recordon

Six Apart"

All I can say is that I’m impressed.  While Twitter has basically hit the online marketing and social media marketing segments – it’s not been a hit for the rest of the corporate world.  But I can’t help but wonder how our repoutation would improve if we listened to our customers the way SixApart listened to my twitter post.
