Your Strategy is Like Flypaper, The Sweeter You Are, The Stickier You’ll Be
I just couldn't resist posting yet again today. I read this insightfully short post by Jack Ricchiuto in Jack/Zen about a scientific study that shows that the more people feel cared for, the more they care.
That goes to the heart of the message I'd love to get out regarding the power of creating customer community. By definition, a community of people are part of a community because they care about something; a religious group, a product (Saturn or Apple) a hobby (NASCAR) or a person (fan clubs). If the community does a good job of "caring" for their members – their members will be loyal and stay. The more they stay, the more they pay. Then, they tell two friends and so on, and so on.
In what ways can you create a community that cares?
