AMEX Open Forum Teaches Some Great Business Lessons
2008 September 15
If you're sick and tired of that "Pain in the A__ " customer, check out my latest post at Anita Campbell's Small Business Trends AMEX Open Forum .
I'm thrilled to be included with experts like Guy Kawasaki, John Batelle, Anita Campbell and Scott Belsky. As member of the Small Business Trends community, I'm a daily visitor to the Open Forum and have found it to be a mini, real-life MBA for real life small business owners. As someone who serves as a marketing strategy resource to my clients, the Open Forum keeps me educated on the biggest issues of the day. Here's is just a sample of what I've learned from these experts:
- Don't be afraid of going global – Laurel Delaney shows how you can create smart partnerships to reduce your risk and exposure.
- See if your boss is crazy – Since I worked for a boss who was actually diagnosed as crazy after I left the company — I had to read this piece by Guy Kawasaki. (And no I didn't drive him to it!)
- Is Marketing R&D and Vice Versa? – This is a favorite article of mine by John Batelle because it shows how marketing isn't just about communicating — it's a conversation you have with your customer — AMEN.
- It's mo' than about the money – Scott Belsky shows us that it's not always about the price or the financial reward – it's about the experiences that we have that are priceless.
Tell me what your favorite article was from the forum!
