I just read this study that says that iPhone users are 66% more likely to respond to mobile ads than the rest of us.  Yup and Twitter followers were more likely to respond to offers by the people they followed and every community member is more likely to respond to an offer given by another community member.  My question is — for HOW LONG?

A few months ago, I wrote a post about Twitter turning into spam.  I’m noticing the same thing on LinkedIn and, as a marketer, I’m mad at all the other marketers who are abusing the wonderful priveledge and tool that are social media vehicles.

When I hear the Twitter and LinkedIn and Facebook are still considered cutting edge, I’m wondering how long it’s going to be before these turn into digital litter that spammers use to torment those of us who are trying to build loyal communities where we share honest, useful information that people with similar interests might care about.
