5 Good Reasons to Tungle

2009 September 14

Get ready for a new internet verb: Tungle.  Tungle is the act of quickly and easily setting up a meeting with as many folks as you want in less than a minute.

How do you feel about scheduling meetings and conference calls between say 3 or 5 people?  I can’t stand the inevitable back and forth that we all go through to get to a date and time when we can all make it.  The other thing I can’t stand is toggling between my calendar and my e-mail to identify open dates and times.

I know that Outlook and Gmail (and I’m sure most e-mail programs) have a meeting scheduling feature – but Tungle beats tham all.  Here’s why.

  1. It’s online.  I love working in the cloud.  I know my calendar and my contacts are safe and sound.  I can access the calendar from anywhere and I love that.
  2. It synchronizes multiple calendars.  I don’t use multiple calendars – but if you do, you will love this.  It will pull your Outlook calendar, your Gmail calendar, you iCal — whatever and how ever many you happen to have can all be visible on Tungle.
  3. No more toggling between applications.  I can’t stand making that ist of available dates and times.  I have to toggle between calendars and e-mail, make ranges of dates, place commas and dashes, etc.  I just can’t stand it. Tungle simply let’s you pain over the open dates and times.  You can literally outline 3 weeks worth of dates and times in less than a minute.
  4. Coordinate will one or one hundred.  I’ve not tried coordinating one hundred individuals, but I have done as many as ten and it’s been a breeze.  Just make sure you have lots of options outlined because coordinating 10 people will require more date and time options.
  5. It’s free.  I’m not sure how they are makeing money, but the app is free and it’s freeing up lots of my time.

So I’m a fan.

I Tungle

You Tungle

We’ll all be screaming for more Tungle.
